My First Actifit post from the app - it has huge potential for hive
This is my very First Actifit post using the app, and I wanted to try and see it myself, how the post turns out when published, and the very first impression is that, it's not bad, but there are lot of room for improvements. Can you guess the year, when the above photo was taken ? At times I laugh at myself, seeing the transformation that I have done on myself over the years, a very long and consistent effort has made it possible. It would have been lovely to have a weekly report of so many years to see it myself, the effort setting an example to keep motivating me and others. And this is the very first thing, that the app lacks - to be able to create a post weekly, capturing all the details of each day.
Fitness is probably the biggest craze now a days, and the Fitness community probably would be one of the biggest community in the world. Having an app like Actifit that rewards for keeping fit is probably a niche and unique approach, but for the app to appeal to users, it needs improvement. In one of my previous post, I shared, how the Samsung Health App appeals to users and has been able to engage more people than total people engaging on this chain. Their fundamental is simple - a user friendly app, hitting the sentiments, challenging users with a very little reward. But given that they have a big user base, the marketing does the trick for them.
It's not impossible for @actifit to build even a better UI than that - it just need to improve itself with feedback from the community. Imagine, if we set a weekly competition with some big prizes, and attract attention of the outside world by doing marketing on web2 , I am sure, the outcome will be amazing - people don't have to do anything - just challenge them in a competition, and let the app take care of the rest.
As mentioned in this post, we seriously overlook Attention and by giving attention to some spontaneous content ( need not be very big), we can attract and retain many users. Once we have a very big user base (they won't go away, because they will be happy to have a post daily or weekly by the app), rest will be history for sure.
Before I wrap this post, request to the @actifit team - please try to enhance to have a weekly post, if possible. And most importantly the app just dies on its own in Android - sometimes if I clear all the notification and sometimes without any reason. I am not sure why that happens, but that definitely needs to be fixed.
@actifit has huge potential - but before that, you must pay focus to marketing and attention - I am sure, all whales will agree and fund whatever it needs from DHF, because it is a very fundamental app, that most will love to use.
