Good afternoon friends!
We wanted to share our little adventure from yesterday with you. But first a bit of backstory as to why we chose to do this. I have always loved collecting rocks and crystals since I was a child and I've gathered a decent collection. Recently both Kara and I have become interested in the properties/benefits/qualities that each individual semi precious stone carries.
About a year ago Kara had heard about this place quite a ways out of town called "The crystal Man". Sounds intriguing right?!? So we finally found a day that worked for us both and away we went. We input the directions into the GPS, it took about an hour and we ended up down a long country road. Just as we were beginning to question whether we had been mislead by the GPS, our destination appeared on the left.
We ventured down the driveway and found a nice rural home and shop with their sign on the garage door. We entered and were surprised to find a basement room set up like a jewellery store displaying many pieces of semi precious stones, jewellery, and crystals. Very impressive! We gathered a few small stones to add to our collections and prepared to pay. The young lady working there informed us that before we go we should check out the garage sale (we agreed that we weren't really out to garage sale for old toasters and golf clubs today-but okay we would have a look). Turns out it was literally a garage full of more gem stones and crystals that hadn't sold, were discounted, or damaged in some way. HOLY cow. We couldn't believe it.
The young lady had also mentioned that their warehouse was open today (only open on select days), so after checking out the garage sale we headed over to the shop we had seen on our way in A.K.A. The warehouse.
Unbelievable! It was literally a shop FULL of even more semi-precious stones, jewellery, and crystals in all shapes, forms, and sizes. Different ones than were in the other two buildings! In the end we spent over two hours trying to decide which ones to choose and collectively spent a lot more than one should name on rocks. What a find indeed. We will be making this an annual trip for sure. Below is our purchases of the day.
Stay tuned for a future post where we figure out how to crack open our geodes:)
