Hello fellow steemains : I have here a few simple things that might come in handy if You're traveling to a Tropical location. Get a plastic case to put Your Passport in. Get Velcro fasterners and deep pocket Pants because You'll find it so convient for getting Passport , Phones , ect. out ; why miss the" photo of the Century " fumbling with buttons or a stuck zipper plus pickpockets hate Velcro fasterners. Forget those Baseball Caps and get You something that's gonna keep that Sun off Your head and Face . You're Selfie stick , memory stick ,bluetooth remote button and booster are a must. A good waterproof Watch A pocket "wifi " is such a valuable asset for obvious reasons. Get Yourself a small tube of this ; You never know when a simple Fungas might occur making for uncomfortale experiences that could have been avoided ; Athlete's Foot is no fun. This can be very handy just in case .............................................................for Your cell Phone ect. A good waterproof pack and remeber "when You travel light You travel right". When You get to Your destination and have choosen to get a economical Room , most time they will be absent of hot water; to solve that problem go get yourself a electric coffee maker a bucket and "Walla". " Hot bath here I come " Don't laugh ; put a roll of Toilet Paper in Your pack ; You won't be laughing if You really need to go somewhere away from Your room and the Comfort Room has none. Wash Your Hands and keep a bottle of Bleach in Your living quaters . Carry a small spray bottle with You and spray Your Hands before You eat. Two of my favorite writers are the travel Writer Anthony Bourdain and Ernest Hemmingway ; they both have two things in common : travel and never much mention having food posioning. Take You a good "slug" Of Jack Daniels or something before You start sampling "Street Food". A picture is worth a thousand words ; get this ! This Magicjack has worked just fine for me for 10 Years. I plug it into my Computer and " off I go" to the United States as clear as a bell. The call answering is great also ; You get Your voice mail via Your E-mail. http://www.usamail1.com/ is an excellent way to get Your "snail mail". If You're afraid Your Sister-in-Law will tear up Your mail along with Your Brothers in a fit of rage back home in Oakland, then this is the way to go. http://www.usamail1.com/ Last tip : If you're going into a Mountain Province or some remote jungle region , dress like Indiana Jones (without whip and gun).
