I was the youngest among my classmates in school. They all teased me for being a kid. Being a 'may' born kid in a class where all others were born before the month 'march' was difficult. I was kept away from period and adult talks. They shielded me from everything, much like Indian parents. I was not allowed to do what I deserved all because I was a kid younger to them by few months.

I just cannot take the incident off my mind when one of my classmates lost his dad to an accident. The entire class knew about the incident but kept the secret from me. I got to know about it only when the boy came in to the class and broke down. I asked my buddies about why they didn't tell me about it. I felt betrayed. I felt unwanted. I felt as if they didn't wanted to share anything with me. But, was shocked when they told me that they didn't wanted to see me cry because I was sensetive.
I was a sensetive Tom boy in school who would tell well with guys rather than girls. I could play basketball and football when the girl pals were busy having their secret talk sessions which they kept postponing when I was around. The boys were great. They made sure that no guy messed with me and protected me as they would to a little sister/brother.
Time has changed. Unfortunately I was the first among the lot to get married. I presently have a 10 year old son and the second one is 2.5 year old while my friends are still finding their life partners. One of my class buddy is getting married this weekend and it is fun that the same girl who once kept so many secrets from me wanted me to give her some tips on marriage. The same girl who thought I was incapable of being a part of conversation on mensuration because I was not mensurating at an age when they all were wants to know if kids were actually a need.
Time flew by so fast. I and my other friends were planning to attend the wedding of this friend when I told them that I need to be home soon after the dinner because I have to send my son to school the next day when one of them said that I may attend his wedding when my son would drive me to the venue in his bike. 😂
