My 10 year old sons school is scheduled to reopen next week. The 50 days long vacation is almost over and we realised just yesterday that we have a lot of homework to complete. This happens every year and we have still not learnt from our past mistakes. It is like a ritual to complete the homework at the last minute and I am not the only one guilty of it. I have asked his other classmates and we are on the same page.

I don't understand what are holidays for ?? Aren't they to let kids enjoy their vacation ? I wonder how teachers decide which homework to give for their students because most of them cannot be done without the help of parents.
I personally feel teachers should just let the kids be during their holidays and not burden them with loads of homework which eventually parents end up doing.
