Life after kids is completely different. It is like you have to care for three bodies along with the home that you live in. Feeding the kids is priority over eating ourselves. I was just a little over 20 when my first son was born. I didn't know the responsibilities that would come with it, but I was excited. As I held him in my arms, my life changed upside down. I had to let go off my sleep to care for him. I remember, I hadn't had a peaceful sleep for 9 whole months. My lunch and dinner had no timings. I had to set my schedule according to him.
It took me 7 years to assure myself that he no longer needs my help, but so wrong I was. As soon as his brother was born, he became extra dependent. He wanted me to treat him very much like I treated his day old brother. That's what is called sibling jealousy, I guess. My younger one is 3 now and elder one is 10, but they still fight like enemy countries at war. They always debate over whom does mummy love more. And I still don't have any time for myself.
