Weddings back here in India are elaborate yet knotty affair. The weddings here are ' once in a life time affair's and the burden to make this day a memorable one is often forced on the bride's side. The bride's side play the host and the groom's side expect the pampering. Though things are changing now, it is still a long way to go from what it is now to what it actually should be.
Here a girl's father starts saving the day he sees his daughter for this grand event. A part of his salary is often saved for this day and he makes sure that he does his best to make this day a special one for the groom and his family too.
Coming back to the topic, weddings here are celebrated by inviting the entire clan on both sides. While some are those happy people who come to bless the new couple, some are those sadistic ladies who are not happy with anything on this earth. If possible, they would even change the colour of moon and sun.
I often hear aunties complain about the food not being upto the mark at weddings. I have heard people tell that the food is over or under cooked and the father should have taken better care of the arrangements. Hello, is the father responsible for the catering department? Well, sometimes mishaps happen and instead of blaming the dad it would have been graceful if these aunties just avoid the food they don't like and fill their plates with other better options, right ??
