If you are a female, you know what I am talking about. We females are just not satisfied with what we have when it comes to dressing up. We for some reason feel that people keep a watch on what we wear all the time and repeating a costume would mean getting raised eyebrows. I was not too much into fashion and my favourite clothes are just a pair of jeans and some comfortable t shirts. Calling me a ton boy would be justified.

I can wear my jeans with a t shirt to any event, but my mom gets very annoyed at my dressing style. She wears the prettiest saree and there I am with a jeans and t shirt standing besides her and smiling at whoever she talks to. I understand my mom would just be avoiding the question 'who is she' by her peeps, but hard it is. People often ask and I with a broad smile tell them that I am her daughter.
Few years ago, my husband sat me down and explained the need to dress according to the occassion and I did understand. Things changed after that. I am no longer the same. I can relate to ' I don't have anything to wear' and I have been avoiding family gatherings just for the reason that I don't have a new dress to wear. Now my mom remembers those old days and often tells me to wear a jeans and top.
