The design of the whale is simple but at the same time enigmatic, the eye seems to be sharp watching its surroundings and be on the lookout for any attack, also the marine world is so wide and diverse that we can find what we least imagine at the bottom of the ocean; the sculpture of the Whale is made with flexible dough, a very practical material to mold.
El dise帽o de la ballena es sencillo pero a la vez enigm谩tico, el ojo parece estar aguzado vigilando su entorno y estar al pendiente de cualquier ataque, adem谩s el mundo marino es tan amplio y diverso que podemos encontrar lo que menos imaginamos en el fondo del oc茅ano; la escultura de la Ballena est谩 hecha con masa flexible, un material muy pr谩ctico para moldear.
I used the following materials:
Flexible dough
Stakes
Cold paint (in a variety of colors)
Glue.
Us茅 los siguientes materiales:
Masa flexible
Estecas
Pintura al fr铆o (en variados colores)
Pegamento.
I added paint to the flexible dough and mixed until I got the desired colors, then I molded the body of the whale and the tail; the next thing I did were the fins and the abdomen.
Agregu茅 pintura a la masa flexible y mezcl茅 hasta obtener los colores deseados, luego molde茅 el cuerpo de la ballena y la cola; lo siguiente que hice fueron las aletas y el abdomen.
As I progressed in the molding, it occurred to me to add a kind of carapace on the back of the whale, for this I molded several rectangles in brown and glued them in the center of the upper part of the body, I also added some small brown fins.
A medida que avanzaba en el moldeado se me ocurri贸 agregar una especie de caparaz贸n en el lomo de la ballena, para ello molde茅 varios rect谩ngulos en color marr贸n y los pegu茅 en el centro de la parte superior del cuerpo, a帽ad铆 tambi茅n unas peque帽as aletas de color marr贸n.
Finally I made the eyes and the horn of the whale, added glue and let it dry for two days for the dough to compact and the pieces to stick completely, that's what I like about this material that can last for many years, as long as you let it dry for the right amount of time.
Finalmente hice los ojos y el cuerno de la ballena, agregu茅 pegamento y dej茅 secar durante dos d铆as para que la masa compacte y las piezas peguen completamente, es lo que me gusta de este material que puede durar muchos a帽os, siempre que se deja secar el tiempo adecuado.
