Very often in our lives we find ourselves standing at a major crossroad where we have to make an important choice.
It is at this crucial juncture that we need to make important decisions about matters that might have far reaching consequences in our journey and a long-lasting effect in our lives.
I’m not talking about simple choices such as a car purchase or figuring out your weekend plans. I’m referring to the bigger decisions such as whether should marry your boyfriend or girlfriend or relocate to another country, or switch carrier.
At this point in your life, you are stuck with many positive and negative thoughts, your mind is at 360 degrees on whether or not to figure out a particular decision in life.
I can recall back in 2005 when I was at a crossroad in my life on whether to pickup a job with a peanut take home or to learn a skill, at this point I was confused and perplexed on which decision will be of best option, putting into consideration my future and earning at that point. Being that I wasn't in a good position to embark on any reasonable decision ,l took counseling from an older brother who guided me to embark on acquiring skills, he pointed out to me that a skill acquired is a lifetime investment that will always come handy when the chips are down. He also added that in the event that l secure a good paying job, the skill acquired will be a plus. I seriously weighed the options and made my decision. In essence, in decision making, making the right decision can really pay off in so many reward ways.
Here are factors you need to consider when you are at a crossroads :
1: seek the face of God : Seeking the face of God is never to be ruled out when you are at a crossroad. Since He is the Alpha and Omega ,He will definitely guide you a right.
Note, when you involve God in the equation of your life the calculations changes.
2: Seek wise counsel : seeking wise counsel is so important after praying to confirm God's own opinion through a Godly counselor. Now it is advisable you take counsel from someone with an outstanding lifestyle couple with life experience.
3: pay attention to your passion : passion is what gives you reasons to go on in particular adventures both in good and in bad times. So when you are at a crossroad think deeply what your passion is and consider if your decision is in line with your passion.
4: Embrace the idea of change: often time many of us are stuck in failure as a result of deriving ourselves from facing the reality of life. change is constant and we shouldn't be afraid to embrace it when we are at a crossroad. Note, if you refuse to embrace the idea of change , you may remain in a box of stagnation.
5: Don't rush the process : when you are at a crossroad, stay calm, let go of pressure, don't hurry, but gather useful information that will enhance your decision.
In conclusion, your present decisions determines your tomorrow glorify.
