Wow! Thanks for looking into this one for me. Indeed, I am english with limited understanding of the French language. I wrote the post with such confidence because three French people here confirmed that's what it meant. It seems to me that the picture of an apple tree with apples coming down and a stop sign is a very misleading. Why not put the stop sign over water if it relates to water? Anyway, I do appreciate your clarification. It did not affect much around here. Very few people growing food now that they can't use the canal.
