The PG13 policy is stated clearly with links, on the submission page where writers submit their own work. They are required to accept that their submission complies with Dreemport guidelines before submitting their posts for public curation. I am not sure it could be much clearer than requiring an overt upfront action on behalf of the writer.

As for the writer who reviewed your work, it may be worth you establishing your facts on this share in Dreemport before drawing fallacious and unsubstantiated conclusions. If you took the time to re-read what place your reviewer took in the winner's circle, and your own message of congratulations to her, you would know this. The reason she was able to read and review ... and place in the contest... is because neither Hive nor DreemPort censors anything. The way that people continue to misuse the word "censorship" astounds me. It is thrown around way too often these days in an effort to evoke emotional responses from a perceived audience. Anyone with a good understanding of the English language would appreciate the continued misguided use of the term.

Personally, I have read many brilliant pieces of fiction, quite a few of them classics, as well as many that made the BBC or NYT bestseller lists, and the authors did not need to lean into f-bombs or gratuitous violence to garner literary appreciation and esteem with the public or reviewing bodies. They relied on good writing. Full stop.
