One thing I love about “the house of God,” a teaching series by bro. Eli Soriano is encompassing with scriptural backings and this last part, which is part 3, is not an exception to what we have been listening to and at the same time enjoying from the past series.
In this recent teaching, bro. Eli made us know that, though the house of prayer in Jerusalem has been destroyed by the Romans army as being foretold by Jesus Christ and prophet Jeremiah, but even at that as it can be found in the scriptural verses Matthew 24:1-2 & 15 and Jeremiah 4:11-13.
But in his recent teaching, which is part 3, he told us that a new house of God that prays on its own now exists and it's been used to replace the demolished and destroyed house of God in Jerusalem.
Now, this new house of God that prays and has Jesus Christ as its chief priest is called the church and according to the scripture in 1Tim 3:15, we were being told about the house of the living God that's built with the pillars of truth and this house like i said before is the church. A house that will last forever.
Also, in the same vein, our Lord Jesus Christ also reiterated this in the book of Matthew 16:18, where he said, “And I say also unto you. That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church: and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
So, looking at this scriptural backing, one would understand that the church of God is the new house of God that has been used to replace the house of prayer in Jerusalem and the good news unlike the previous one is that this new house of God called the church will never be destroyed.
In addition and according to the scripture in Ephesians 3:10-11, we were also told that the church is a manifold of God where God's wisdom would be known.
Also, in Hebrew 10:21, we were made to know that christ is the chief priest of the new house of God which to me, is the biggest news so far for everyone believer who christ died for and for us that looks unto him as the author and finisher of our faith, we should rejoice for Christ is the head of the new church of God.
In conclusion, the new church as we have read from the scripture and also from bro. Eli teaching is a forever church that would not come to an end as headed by our Lord Jesus Christ.
