It is such a profound question; most individuals pose it, Is there protection to sinners? This is a heart-throbbing question. We are all sinners in some way or another. In the book of Romans 3:23, the Bible asserted that, all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. As I consider this verse, I understand that there is no one perfect. We all need mercy.

The positive side is that God is not keen to destroy sinners. On the contrary, He invites them to repentance. Ezekiel 18:23, God says, Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? that he should not, upon returning to his ways, live? This demonstrates that God is a compassionate hearted being. He desires the sinners to repent to Him and live.

And there is covering, but it is in repentance and obedience. Proverbs 28:13 is, he who covers his sins, will not prosper: but he that confesses and forsook them, will have mercy. In my opinion, this verse is quite understandable. When a sinner prevails himself, confesses and reforms his ways, God forgives and secures him.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the best place of protection to the sinners. The Bible, in John 3:17, writes that, God did not send his Son to the world to condemn the world; but that the world would be saved through him. By Christ forgiveness and hope are achieved.

Protection however does not imply freedom to go on sinning. Romans 6: 1 to 2 is reminding us that we must not keep living in the sin so that the grace can be multiplied. Righteousness is an option, which we need to walk in order to be truly secured.

In summary, yes, there is a safety net of protection to the sinners, but it covers those who repent and believe and obey God. It is my firm conviction that God is more merciful than we are sinning, it is only that we should go back to His mercy with a humble heart.

God bless his word
Amen
