A parents is suppose to show love and affection towards the child and not hate. Irrespective of their differences it should not displace the love between them. Family is all about understanding one another. Aside from the love of God, love from the parents is one of the greatest form of love a child can receive.
It should not be exchanged for hatred. A home is one of the most important place for love to dwell. Both parties — parents and child— have a role to play to maintain a peaceful home where love reigns amongst them.
If a parent observes some behavior in a child that is not right it is okay to caution and discipline them and correct them. But it should not escalate into something else. A home where love reigns the enemy finds it difficult to penetrate.
