One of the major undoing of many people in relationship is to think that relationship is without work nor responsibility from both parties involved. The success of any relationship primarily depends on the responsibility that both parties are willing to undertake. Here, let us consider some very vital nuggets that people in relationship need to bear in mind to help them solidify the walls of their relationship.

First of all, I want to remind you that neither you nor your partner nor anyone else is perfect. Expecting perfection to come from them will make your expectations to be disappointed and you may develop reservations for them. The idea here is to accept your partner (just as you accept yourself) with their flaws while inspiring them to be a better version of themselves.
When you combine your own strength with their weakness and they combined their own strength with your weakness, your relationship will appear flawless. The good relationships you envy are not without weaknesses, it is just that the parties involved have figured out ways to work around their weaknesses. If you constantly look at the weakness of your partner, you will begin to dislike them.
The part of your partner that you constantly look at will always influence your judgement about them. Remember this; there is a measure of strength even in the weakest of them all, and there is a measure of weakness even in the strongest of them all - it is only a matter of which side you focus your attention the more. Note: when you help your partner to work on their strengths, you are also building up your own strength.
What people should understand is that relationship is meant to be built on mutualism and not on parasitism. In the former, the both parties benefit while in the later, only one party benefits. It is quite saddening that many people look at relationship like a business venture but it is not meant to be so. The beauty of any relationship lies in each party seeking for what to bring to the table instead of seeking for what to take.

Believe me, when you always seek for the good of your partner and your partner seeks for your own good, the relationship will be blissful. However, when one person bears the entire burden, it will lead to strain. Even if you may not bring monetary things to the relationship, there are many other values you can create that will strengthen the walls of your relationship. Just think about it.
