In this world that is ruled by information, and in this era that has provided us with ready access to an almost infinite information, if you choose ignorance, then it is your fault. The truth is that the one that knows about a thing will definitely be preferred over the one who does not, and the person will also gain mastery over life's situations. The responsibility lies on your shoulders to gain knowledge and learn more. It is true that it will be impossible to learn everything that needs to be learnt, but if what you know today is the same thing you knew yesterday without adding anything else, then you are not fulfilling the demands of learning.

There is an ease that comes to someone's life when they learn extensively what they want to do. As a matter of fact, the more you know about a thing, the more it becomes easier to accomplish, because learning and knowledge come with ability and power. The more you learn, the more you find other reasons to keep learning, and the more you would want to know. As long as success is your desire, then learning should be your lifestyle. Obviously, each day presents us with newer trends and with the speedy evolution being witnessed in almost every field of human endeavour, you need to keep learning so as to maintain your relevance and to keep abreast with the trend.

Your relevance is directly related to the value which you can add. However, your value is a direct function of what you know. So by inference, your relevance is directly proportional to what you know. This means that the more you know, the more relevant you become, and the less you know, the less relevant you are. In order to increase your relevance in this highly competitive world, you have to know beyond what others do. And just to make it clear, whether you are aware or not, you are already part of the competition in the world, so you should act accordingly.

In your place of work for example, your qualifications may grant you access to certain positions, but to retain you there and to make you have an edge, you have to prove that you are better by knowing what others do not. Even if they do not like your face or your status, etc, but you are the one to provide the solution that they honestly seek for, they cannot but seek for your attention. Nothing creates value like an increased knowledge. Everyday you live, make it a point of duty to keep learning and increase in knowledge.

It is worthy to note that learning goes way beyond just going to school. Even your interaction with people can be a source of learning. In this era now, almost any information you need is readily available at the palm of your hands - all thanks to the internet. There are other materials that can also facilitate the learning process - like reading books and other resource materials. One should also know that there is no price that is too weighty to pay for knowledge. If you think the price of acquiring knowledge carries weight, then I might just tell you that the price of ignorance is weightier.

The benefits of learning cannot be overemphasized. Apart from the fact that it empowers you, it also leads to self realisation and self discovery. On the other hand, if you refuse to go for knowledge in this world that flies on knowledge, you will face the consequences, and you stand the risk of going into obsoletion. So you see, it is better to pay the price of learning and enjoy the prize than to dodge it now and pay the ultimate price later. The choice is yours.

Learning does not have any limit. As long as there are more things to learn and as long as you are still alive, then there is no limit to how much you can learn. Learning is one of the fundamental evidences that we are living. This is part of the reasons this popular quote has it that "you start dying when you stop learning." So keep learning.
