River San Pedro
Amazonas is a tropical region very humid, constant rains and the thick layer of forest draws landscapes like this first image. A rugged landscape, dark green and murky waters, but still beautiful!
I am not in the heart of the Amazon, I am at the door of entrance. My city is "The golden door of the Colombian Amazon" is the last city before entering the green lung of the world. From this place to the most recondite area of the Amazon there are many hours of travel by land and water.
On the weekend I usually walk on this road that leads to smaller towns. Just half an hour from the city is San Pedro River, in English it would be " San Peter". From this river leave and arrive boats that travel to the heart of the Amazon.
Above is the vehicular bridge and I walk on the pedestrian bridge to make some shots of the river.
After the bridge there are flat and clear areas, many cows there, I'm still near the city.
Flat areas and rain form lagoons that become beautiful mirrors of the forest.
Further on there are several sections of the San Pedro river, there is also the port where rustic boats arrive. On another occasion, advance to that point.
Back home, the sunset adorns the landscape, the sun seems to be inclined to kiss Amazonian land.
I hope you enjoyed this walking with me.
Keep walking, because life is a journey.
