Hello, beautiful Holos&Lotus community!
Thank you for always being there, for reading, for walking alongside us, for supporting us. Today I want to share something that’s been on my heart—not out of pity, but from that place where we recognize that God works even in the small things.

Sometimes we think we know a Bible story because we’ve heard it a thousand times, but all it takes is a moment to pause and see it with fresh eyes—all those fragments that make up any story, small but not insignificant details. That’s what happened to me with Moses. Before he was the great liberator, he was just a shepherd in the desert, tending someone else’s sheep, carrying burdens, fears, and a life that seemed stuck. And right there, in the ordinary, God calls him.

And it’s curious, because God doesn’t start with the spectacular. He starts with the simple. A staff.
Objects that anyone would ignore, but that in the right hands become instruments.

Moses had no influence, no resources, no eloquence. He only had a staff. And yet, God asked him, “What do you have in your hand?”
He didn’t ask what he lacked, but what he had. And there I understood something: God doesn’t start with our shortcomings, but with what’s already in our hands. What you call “little,” He calls “enough.”

But before using the staff, God asked him to let it go. And that hurts, because we want to be used by God, but we don’t want to let go of control, the past, pride, or comfort. Without surrender, there is no transformation.

When Moses let go of the staff, it ceased to be his. Exodus 4:20 calls it “the staff of God.” And when God takes something, it changes owners, changes purpose, changes impact.

An ordinary staff parted seas, defeated empires, and set a people free. It wasn’t the staff. It wasn’t Moses. It was God… using what was in His hands.

And that’s when I understood that I am that staff. And so are you.
You don’t need to be extraordinary. You just need to be in the right hands.

And of course, I know that many have heard this story and others haven’t, and regardless of what we believe about the Bible, we must acknowledge one thing: it is a renowned, very famous book that has endured for centuries, and within that book there are hundreds of stories like this one that I’m sharing with you.

Now tell me, I want to interact with you...
What do you have in your hands today?
What is God asking you to let go of?
What part of your life needs to be placed in the right hands?
