Hi everyone, how are you? I hope you are all doing well. Today, I will be discussing the card 'Lorn.' It is a Legendary Life/Dragon unit that possesses powerful abilities such as Charge, Painforge, Relentless Strike, and Lifeleech. Its 6-mana cost, combined with solid Speed, Armor, and Health, allows for the creation of various strategic approaches in battle. When used correctly, Lorn can become a dangerous threat to any opponent. Let’s dive into more detail about this card.

To begin, let’s look at the backstory of Lorn.it’s quite fascinating. In the distant past, a powerful dragon perished, and its remains gradually merged with the earth. Eventually, a young Decidite tree named Lorn sprouted from the dragon’s bones. Over time, the dragon’s residual energy permeated Lorn’s form, flowing through its roots, trunk, and branches, which set it apart from ordinary Treefolk. Driven to protect its forest, Lorn uprooted itself and began a battle against formidable, dangerous forces.

With a mana cost of only 6, Lorn is a viable choice even in battles with moderate mana limits. As a Legendary card, its stats and abilities make it a highly effective melee unit. Perhaps the most compelling aspect of Lorn is its powerful set of abilities, with new ones unlocking as the card’s level increases. For instance, the 'Charge' ability allows Lorn to launch melee attacks from any position. Meanwhile, 'Relentless Strike' makes its attacks even more lethal; it causes Lorn’s strikes to function as 'True Damage.' Furthermore, when attacking an enemy equipped with Void, Shield, or Forcefield, Lorn deals an additional 1 point of damage, making it exceptionally effective against an opponent's defensive traits. Additionally, 'Lifeleech' stands out as one of Lorn’s most significant abilities. After dealing damage to an enemy with this ability, 50% of that damage (rounded up to the nearest whole number) is added to both the unit's current Health and its Maximum Health.

In terms of strategy, Lorn does not have to be restricted to the first position; he can also function effectively as a backline damage dealer. For instance, you can utilize his 'Charge' ability to strike enemies from the back ranks, while 'Lifeleech' allows him to gradually increase his Health over the course of a battle. It is important, however, to carefully select allies and battle conditions that complement his 'Painforge' ability. Furthermore, his 'Relentless Strike' is particularly useful against opponents equipped with Shield, Void, or Forcefield. Consequently, it is advisable to build a team around him using a Dragon-element Summoner.

In conclusion, I find Lorn to be a compelling Legendary unit. I am especially fond of his 'Charge' and 'Lifeleech' abilities; while many melee units are unable to attack from the back ranks, Lorn overcomes this limitation. Meanwhile, 'Lifeleech' makes him increasingly formidable as a battle drags on. For those who enjoy playing with the Life and Dragon elements in Splinterlands, Lorn is definitely a card worth considering though you should always ensure you have a solid grasp of your team composition and the specific battle ruleset before fielding him. That concludes my thoughts on this card; thank you all!
