Created by me in photoshop
Good Day all, Happy Sunday, and welcome to another edition of #creative-sunday with none other than , today I would be showcasing something rather... well, ugly or maybe horrific depending on how you look at it.
The graphics work you are about to see was inspired by the masking effect in Photoshop. So basically, like they say there is no specific rule or laid down guideline in the creative creation of artworks. So what you will be seeing or have seen as above was created using the masking effect and once again I just wanted to bring my imagination, which mostly runs wide by the way to life. So as usual enjoy the exhibition and the creative process behind it ππ
The above graphics art was created in Photoshop of course using nothing but two original images gotten from Pixabay. A beautiful image of a woman and of course the image of a skull ππ
Image of a skull gotten from Pixabay [Here]
Image of a beautiful woman gotten from Pixabay also
Okay what you need to do first is to open the first two images gotten from pixabay in photshop after downloading.
You can do this in the photoshop interface by going to "Files" at the upper left corner in photoshop and selecting "open" once done locate where both images were downloaded to , select both images and click open
Shown in the screenshot below ππ
image 1
Image 2
After doing the above you make the image of a skull the first layer and that of the beautiful woman a second layer. So at this point we now have two layers, layer 1 which is the image of the skull and layer 2 which is the image of the woman
So what we need now is a layer mask which allows us to modify the womans face. This layer mask will be initiated with the skull image.
Select the skull on it layer and then click mask which is a small sign on the right bottom corner. If you did this correctly, you should see a layer mask beside the skull. This is where modifications will be made
Once the mask is created, paint it with black to reveal the underlying layer gradually, if you make any mistake while revealing the underlying layer, you can rectify by consealing it by painting white over the mask, do this by pressing X on your keyboard this will automatically switch to white by default then paint over where you would like to rectify. ππ
So from here out you keep revealing and consealing the underlying layer till you are satisfied with the result, you can also add some finishing touches where necessary using the blur tool, in the tool bar, the smudge tool, and the gradient tool
After being satisfied with my masking I wanted to make it blend more with the ladys face, to do this, I selected the skull layer, right clicked on it, then select blending option. select blend type as "Dark Color" and allowed drop shadow effect then you can reduced the opacity to about 89 or which ever gives your desired result.
After following the above carefully yu should have a final result like this ππ
