The snake; midday, zoomed in on the first image and blurred to the background of the second.
A few days ago we were in the field, I was hoeing the soil of my fig trees when I heard my wife shout: "A snake, a snake...! Our little boy was with her too, so I dropped the hoe and ran to see what was going on. To my surprise, we saw this very thick beast of almost two metres which, as I approached, crawled nimbly into its burrow. After a while, when we were quietly sitting on the porch drinking coffee, we saw it again, calm and quiet, basking in the sun, perched on one of the vines that provide shade in the summer. It was then that I took these photos, which we later showed to a friend who knows about snakes, and he confirmed what I thought. No problem, this snake will be harmless to us and will help us to get rid of the possible rats that roam around here, I am more afraid of it than it is of me. We have called her " Manola ".
