Hi, Steemians!
Well... The year began flawlessly, on 31th December with a wedding, a christening and New Year's Eve, all on the same day. Then, 2 weeks of holidays.

Plans for the holidays!!
Exercise body and mind, gym every day, read more and make some shelves for the kitchen pantry that helgapn@helgapn (my super woman) asked. Everything as planned, with some absences to the gym but without remorse.

Well... shelves... Never worked with wood... nothing to worry about.
Let's gather material:

  • 10 scrap pallets I brought from my company
  • Buy electric sander
  • Borrow a saw / electric planer (from my father)
  • Varnish
  • Screws and bushings
  • Shelf holders
  • Other tools you already have at home

It's not that I got hooked on this!!! My search trends on youtube have changed completely :) woodworking, woodcarving, woodturning, chisel's, electric mini drill, etc etc etc ... lol

I am even waiting for an aliexpress delivery of an electric mini drill.

Ok, stages of the process ... taking out the planks from the pallets is the most ungrateful work, I did not find any tools to help me, I saw some personal DIY videos with iron, but I still do not have logistics or skills ... (if anyone know some projects please tell me)
Okay, Hammer and Strength. Planks cut to size, join with carpenter wood pegs/glue, and fine sanded.

Here the clean aspect of a sanded and normal one.

Now, varnish wood ... varnish everything and 6 hours later, repeat, wait 12 hours and they are ready to be fixed on the wall.

Et voilà! ... unfortunately I do not have a photo to compare before and after but the use of space is enormous.

The most interesting thing is that after starting woodworking, I only see related scenes in the day to day, as an example, it's on display in the Discovery Channel a series on wood "RedWood Masters", the following day arrives in the mail a leaflet of the supermarket with wood working tools, coincidence or not, it can even be a sign to dedicate myself seriously.

Nice weekend my friends!
