Last weekend was not a very good weekend for me. Beginning on Saturday afternoon, suddenly my Internet was off. I thought it would be back in a few minutes, so I waited until 5 PM, but still had no clue about it. I went through my email on my mobile phone and was shocked to see that I had been terminated.
I did not know about it, since I had requested the termination two weeks earlier, but they had not replied, so I thought it was cancelled. I was really upset, but I tried to calm down and relax. I did not want to be connected to that provider again since they increased the fee without any notice, and I had already paid for a long year without any complaints. I wanted a cheaper and better service, but it has not been easy to contact the provider directly, always with an auto-boot answering machine. I have been a loyal customer for years, but they treat their customers badly.
Finally, I got the information about the new internet provider, and they could install it on Sunday, so I got busy filling in the data, verification, and documentation. The mobile phone could only be used to send messages, not for anything else. It made me realize that most of our daily lives now depend on the internet so we can connect with the world, family, and friends. Also, I can't be reached by the office. It was not a good weekend, but I was grateful to have found someone to help me solve the internet problem, the internet was back on at 9 PM, and I was thankful since my daughters were already home when it came back.
On Monday, I started with the new internet provider, happy at first, but suddenly my mobile phone shut down a few times. I tried to relax and think of a solution. I panicked at first since Monday has always been a very hectic day. My phone could not be used. I thought it was better to leave my purse at home instead of my mobile phone, right? Do you feel the same way?
In Indonesian, "Mati Gaya kalau nggak ada Handphone" (it translates to "you're out of style without a cellphone"). Hahaha. I could not think of anything for a day. On Tuesday, I considered going to the service center, but my schedule was very tight, so I could not do it until my friend told me to scan with antivirus; it's better now.
I realized that the internet and mobile phone are some of the most important tools in this modern era. We depend on them for 80% of email, chats, documentation, banking, etc. I think we should spend some time without internet, like in the old days . It has been nice to have some moments without it and just think about individual matters, playing with cats, life becomes more relaxing.
Thank you to all the readers for your time. I wish you all health and happiness. God bless you all.
