Good day to everyone reading this. Today, I would like to write about money management. Money is a very precious resource, and we use it for the exchange of goods and services. We have both physical and digital money, and they should be treated equally because they serve the same functions.
As we try to earn more money, we have to be able to control the money we earn by practicing money management. Money management involves creating plans for our money by using it effectively and efficiently. This should be done by every normal person in order to save more money and be able to cater to their needs. If we practice money management, our hard-earned money will be protected and spent wisely so that we will be able to meet our financial goals in life.
In this write-up, I will highlight three important strategies we can implement in order to have some level of control over our money.
In the first place, regardless of your income, you have to evaluate your finances. This involves finding out how you use your money. I don't think one can control their money without being able to measure how their money is spent.
This is a fundamental thing to understand in money management, and it can be done by keeping a record of our expenditure over a period of time. If you are someone who depends on a monthly salary, you can do this on a monthly basis so that you will be able to know where your money goes.
You can read your bank statements to keep track of your expenditure over a period of time. Mobile money is also a common method of payment nowadays. With that one too, you can keep track of your transactions over a period of time to know what you have used your money on. There are so many ways we can access our expenditure over a period of time, but it will be very simple if you have a record of your expenses.
After you have access to your expenditure, you can then try to find out the unnecessary things you spend your money on and try to minimise or get rid of them. You know, there are some expenses that cannot be exempted, like intemperance bills and food. There are others that we can simply cut, and it will not have any effect on you, but will rather save you some money. Fish them out and then try to minimize them and you will have your money protected.
The last thing I will add is that you also have to carefully define your priorities. You know, we all have our own priorities. Someone's priority should not be your worry. If your priority is to use a Windows PC, you shouldn't rush to buy a Macbook just because it is being hyped. Following your priorities is also a very good way to manage your financial life as it will help you spend your money on things you actually like.
I will stop here and continue next time. Please do not hesitate to correct me if I make a mistake somewhere in my writeup. Thank you for your time.
