Hellloo guyysss~! How are you? Are you guys doing well? I really hope so.

Remember one of my blog posts that were on ‘what type of mythical creature do you wish it existed?’, yeah, that one! There I added two illustrations. The first one was already done but the second one wasn’t and so today is the post about that.

You see, guys, none of my friends seem to understand what I drew until I explained it to them and it was very frustrating. I wanted to make a view outside a cave while the fairies glow and the outside light is enough to show the stream of water following down the cave. The many little lights that glow in this illustration were supposed to represent the little fairies. You guys have no idea how many things I had to leave and change just to make it understandable.

Still, some can’t figure out what I did unless I tell them about it. In the end, I gave up on editing it any further. This is the last stop here. I hope you guys don’t mind the changes in this illustration and I hope you guys like it. So let’s begin with this illustration which was done in Autodesk.

image.png

First, I need a base to start with the scene out of the cave. Now I made an uneven oval shape because caves are made out of rocks and rocks are uneven so that’s why.

image.png

Next, I used the ‘salty watercolor’ tool to draw the hills on both sides.

image.png

Then I drew the ground using the same tool.

image.png

And then again using the same tool to draw in the cave to represent the mosses in the cave.

image.png

Here I drew some rocks under the hills using the ‘color builder’ tool.

image.png

For the stream of water following down the cave, I used the ‘synthetic coarse angular brush2’ tool. For the fairies, I first drew the fairies using the ‘inking pen’ tool, then for the glow, I used the ‘glow brush’ tool and ‘flow airbrush’. I made sure to do it in another layer and put them under the fairies drawn. Then for the sparkle, I used the glowing cross.

image.png

The next part is very small; it is the following of a stream outside the cave. Remember guys the more the details the better the image. Even the tinie-tiny details make the image more beautiful.

image.png

Next, I drew trees using the ‘color builder’ tool and put them in 60% opacity. Last time I gave leaves to the trees using the ‘salty watercolor’ tool but this time I left them. I think this gives the images a little change in color and makes the image better looking.

image.png

Then I drew a girl using the inking pen tool and for the many little lights glow, I used just the ‘glow brush’ and ‘flow airbrush’ tool.

image.png

Here is the biggest change in this image that I think makes it look better. I drew lavenders on the hills. I thought the image felt too boring because of the colors so I decided to make some flowers to make the image pop out. To draw the flowers, I used the ‘dry ink’ tool and for the leaves, I used the ‘feathery’ tool.

image.png

And at last, I drew a pair of fairies on the flowers. After all, it is an illustration of fairies. Well, that’s it for this post! Now I don’t know if it turned out well or not. Please let me know. I had to think a lot to make it work.

Anyways that’s the end until next time, see ya! Bye and take care guys!
