Today I am here to present to you my digital illustration namely, 'Refreshment'. A hot refreshment is appreciated by everyone in their busy adult lifestyle. It recovers your energy and gives a relief relaxation feeling to most of us.
Now, people from all around the world prefer different types of hot beverages depending on their taste but the most common ones are tea and coffee. Also, the variations make it more renowned in many places too.
As you can see I used my imagination to create an image of what a person would feel after a sip of their hot drink using Sketchbook in my Realme C12.
With this in mind, I started my journey into it. I drew out the structure and filled it up with colors. It is very important to make sure there is NO GAP while filling up the space with colors. Now, that's the basic element.
Now about using layers, layers are very helpful while working in digital platforms. It helps you create distinction. I drew each image individually and moved it to the desired position without rupturing the other images. Now, sometimes using too many layers cause the app or device to slow down due to lack of space or speed functionality. For me using Sketchbook on an android phone is quite difficult, especially one on which we are quite dependent. Tablets are much preferable.
So, when the basics are covered up, I merge down all the layers into one layer so that I can start with adding texture and highlights. It takes a lot of time but it's worth it. I am very particular when it comes to textures, I do not often use them. Because sometimes it just ruins the art.
This was my first try with texture. Once you look at the final image, it surely is worth the work and time. Time is money, time is an investment.
