Hello guys! After ages, here I am with another illustration, done in Autodesk. By the way, how are you guys doing? I hope you are doing well. Honestly, my today’s illustration took me a while to finish, and also had a lot of processes to do but no worries I will tell you guys how I did it. Maybe it might help you give some ideas in your illustration. Therefore let’s begin!

image.png

First I drew some ripples. Not too dark or light cause I am trying to create an image of calm. After all, jellyfish live in water, more like in the ocean so I guess I am creating an image of a calm ocean. To do this, I used the sharp glaze tool and the hair tool. To color, I used the sharp glaze, and to blend I used the hair tool. There you have it! Some ripples.

This one took me a while to find out the perfect tool to draw the jellyfish blob. I did find one tool but in the end, I had to use an eraser to make a clean outline and an airbrush to create the faded look. The tool was an ink brush. I drew the jellyfish blob with the ink brush then erased the out part and use the flow airbrush with clear color. I concentrated to do the airbrush coloring from the center. It took a lot of patience for me to do this.

Next, I added more jellyfish blobs. This time I didn’t have the patience to draw and erase each jellyfish individually. I just duplicated the layer and move it around.

image.png

Next, I added the tentacles of the jellyfish. I used two tools for this. One is a sharp glaze tool and the other is a salty watercolor tool.

image.png

I decided to give the jellyfish some glow because in real life jellyfish are so vibrant in color that I look like it’s glowing. Therefore I decided to give it some glowing details and they look beautiful in this. I just use a pen tool and put the layer in a glow effect.

Next, I am going to draw a boat. So here first I draw the base of a boat.

image.png

Then I added some planks on the boat.

image.png

Then I added some shadow and shading on the boat to give it a little more detail.

image.png

Again I am added more details. The more details make the image better.

image.png

Talking about details, I added more. A child!

image.png

Another child! Okay, we need a guardian. We can’t keep children unattended, can we?

image.png

There is a guardian! Hmm… maybe add some birds too.

image.png

Perfect! Now I think that’s enough details and therefore that’s the end of today’s illustration.

I hope you guys have enjoyed reading this post and liked the illustration. I hope I have been able to give some ideas or tips. For now bye guys and take care! See you guys in the next post.
