Greetings to all.
My name is Meenu Islam, but many call me Cherry. My username is Sakura21 and I am 23 years old. I am a private tutor for about 6 years now and am also, the only earner in my family. Right after my O-levels, I had a gap in my studies due to financial issues. In the gap, I worked as an art teacher in a school and had a handful of experiences there. At present, I'm a home tutor. I enjoy anything related to arts and crafts. I am not an all-rounder in this regard but I try to experiment and gain experience.
Inspiration to enter HIVE
Well, art is a subject that has always been very addicting to me since I was a child. I enjoy doing any kind of artwork. From calligraphy to digital illustration, all of them. So, I needed a platform where I can find inspiration and creative ideas. Also to share mine and so that I could do the same for others. My bestie 
Art and Creativity
My passion is in anything that involves creativity and art. Calligraphy, painting, doodling, DIY, etc, always spike my interest, and recently, I am interested in digital illustration too. Art is a way for me to express my feelings, to relax, or to relieve stress and anxiety. It also helps me to escape from depression. Honestly, I am an introverted person and not very social. So, art is the only way I can express myself. I try to bring in life what I brush down. Staying connected with art makes me alive and lets me express myself to the fullest.
This is my recent canvas painting, guess which medium it is. It is watercolor. Yes, I know it was a bad choice but for some reason, I felt it will come out well. It didn't come out too good, I still have to work a lot on it. I am never satisfied with what I make, I don't know why I feel so, but that is the scenario. Every creation comes with limitations I guess.
My aim at Hive
My wish is to teach others and guide them to the beauty of art. So, they can draw and create whatever they feel like while enjoying it. There are many do's and don'ts in different types of art, the effects of different art tools and the method to use differ too. I have a learning perspective depending on my experience level. I can show the methods and techniques of different types of art and their tools.
I, myself am a beginner but I do know a few things that can help other beginners. Having an experience of 13 years in art is quite a good sum I feel, although I do not consider myself to be a professional. I know a few tools which are helpful here and there. Recently, I am learning techniques in digital illustration and watercolor painting on canvas. So, I can share my knowledge learned from the mistakes I make. Starting from pastel, drawing, landscape sketching, glass painting, watercolor painting, acrylic painting, calligraphy,, and graphic designing.
There is another self of me who is crazily into animes and mangas. I am the type who would go to extra lengths to stick to the mangas I start. Also, I don't let it go until I reach the end. I am grateful to my taste, that the ones I stuck to didn't disappoint me yet. My favorite genres are historical and romance. I was a book worm back in my teenager, but now I would say that I'm a manga worm? 😂
I am willing to contribute and make a place among you all on this platform. Hoping to get along and form good bonds from the limited connection I can make. The much we give, the much we take.
