Recently, I am going through some depression so I decided to draw or illustrate it in an image of how I am feeling. I tried to express a girl who lost her grip on the rope of her world and is now falling or you can say is getting sucked into the darkness. So, before I begin this illustration, I want to let you guys know that I did this in Autodesk, and to do this whole illustration, below are the tools I used.
Now, let’s begin by explaining how I did this. First, let’s sketch out a falling body structure and her hair using the inking pen tool.
In here, I kept the background baby pink to represent the innocence, sweetness, and playfulness of her world. Now, let’s start coloring the whole structure. For coloring, I used the ink brush, and then I duplicated the layer and put in that layer in 'multiplied effect.' After that, I used 'the blending tool' to blend and shade, following all the parts I colored.
Here I did the dress first and tried to use bright colors to express the brightness and happiness of the girl. Next, I will just follow the method of coloring step by step.
Next is her hair, let us begin with it.
Now her tiny little shoes.
Now let’s remove the outline and look at the outcome.
Now let’s draw and color the darkness. I used black color to express the darkness.
In here first I used the new layer and drew circles with 'an inking brush', and then put the layer in '70% opacity'. Next, I used the 'ink pen' to draw wiggle hands and then simply colored them.
Then in a new layer, I used gray color to give details. Next is the last part where I just drew a rope she was holding on to.
