Hello everyone! Eid Mubarak! How are you guys doing? I hope you guys are having a great time.
Today my post’s illustration is about Aster flowers. Now you guys might be wondering, why Aster flowers instead of any other flowers! Well, the reason I am doing this illustration on the Aster flower is because it is the birth flower of September. Why September? That’s because I was born in September.
There is also another birth flower of September that is morning glory but I think the flower vase is full and I can’t place any more flowers therefore, for now, we are just going to stick with Aster flowers. From what I found about Aster flowers on the internet is that it is a fall-blooming herb with daisy-like flowers which stands for Love, Wisdom, Faith, and Valor.
It is also said that it was derived from the Greek word for “star” and in the past, it was believed that the perfume from burning the leaves of the plant could drive away evil spirits. The Aster flower blooms in white, purple, blue, or pink colors. The bouquet of aster flowers implies "Take Care of Yourself for Me" to the receiver. I guess then this illustration implies this message to all my readers here.
So let’s begin with the illustration of the aster flower. Also, this illustration was done in Autodesk. First I am going to start with the flower vase.
And guys, this illustration is going to be very simple, nothing fancy. Now over here, I used the color builder tool to draw the vase. I used two layers to do this. The first layer is to draw the whole outlined shape of the vase and in the other, I put it in multiplied effect to draw the inner part of the vase.
Next, here I drew the stems and leaves of the aster flowers. I used the inking pen tool to remove it.
Then duplicated that layer and put it in multiplied effect after that I used the wash tool to remove the dark shade and also to give an even shade look too.
Then I drew the aster flower buds using the synthetic round bristle tool. I will try my best to draw most of the aster-colored flowers as possible here.
First I will start will blue aster flowers. I am giving each colored flower a pair so I used the synthetic round bristle tool to do the petals and the charcoal tool to draw the center part of the flower.
Next, I did the white ones. Thankfully, I choose different background color instead of white. For here again I used the same tools as I used to make the blue aster flowers.
Next, I did the purple aster flowers using the same tools.
Then at last I did the pink aster flowers.
Then I drew some butterflies to make it a little bit more lively. I used the inking pen tool to draw them.
And at last, I did a little change in the background. I don’t know why I did this but it looked good so it is here.
That’s all for today! I hope you guys have enjoyed my post and the process of this illustration. So bye-bye for now and take care guys. See you guys in the next post. Enjoy your Eid holidays! Ta-ta!
