Thanks to the Hive community especially OCD i have been able to do something i was not sure if i could really do it. Last week I had put out a lockdown challenge as per the post by anomadsoul@anomadsoul on “My quarantine goals and challenges”.

So, I had challenged myself to learn wordpress and hosting and set up my travel blog. It was a bit of work. There were times when I was frustrated. Sometimes I just would not be able crack it. But then surfing around the net and many Youtube videos later I managed to work my way around it.

In hindsight now that I have managed to do what I set myself out to do, I feel the learning I have had through this process are going to be more important in my life than the actual task I set myself. For a person who works in the learning and training in an IT firm, my personal skills with the computer beyond MS office and browsing has been at best questionable!

But now that I have attempted something which I had no exposure to before and managed to learn it to the extend where I can build something for myself and others is a very empowering feeling. It’s a skill I can build upon and I know I am going to get better and better with time.

Well let’s get to it then. My task was to have my travel blog up and running by the 12th of this month. I have done it!

Say hello to my travel blog – www.jauntlife.com

It currently has only 3-4 articles. More are being uploaded. The colors, logo, look and feel will keep evolving with time. I think in about a couple of months the site would have evolved to a stage where it would look very different from that I looks today.

But Yes, a version that I feel can be shown to the world is ready.

Thank you to the Hive community for pushing me to do what i had been procrastinating about for a long time!

More good thing to come!
Namaste!
