Black buck locally known as Kala Hiran, a native of Thar and Cholistan desert - is the largest antelope found in Pakistan. And in 1988, a male black buck and two females were brought to the federal capital as a gift from the Sindh Wildlife Department. Similarly, the hog deer, a native of riverine (katcha areas) of Sindh, was also gifted by the SWD.
