The male was created and designed to take risks and meet challenges. God often gives men assignments that seem too big for them-and they are. They can be accomplished only through God’s help. Yet the qualities of courage, strength, and daring enable men to take the necessary steps of faith that bring God’s intervention.
The Lord said to Joshua, “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead” (Josh. 1:6). It’s impossible to be the leader of the family and of society if you are not strong and courageous. And Joshua had a family of three million people! God gave this young Israelite a job designed for a man.
