An entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by @tattoodjay.
Hooray! The trails are finally open again! After a long winter and wet spring, the trails that I enjoy so much have been closed for the past four months. I could have hiked them throughout the winter, but the ice makes it difficult in the dark. Therefore, I waited until today to get back on my morning bluff hike routine.
After a brisk walk up the hill, I managed to get back to those stone stairs and descent along the south of the bluff. I tried to take my daughter through this area a few times in search of the fae. We like to think they hide in the holes in the stone hillside.
Down I went...
Over the stairs...
And into the land of the fae...
While looking for the Gentry, I was also on the lookout for the returning green. Just a little bit here and there. A few weeks into the future, and this whole will be bursting with greens and wildflowers. Now that we are "unofficially" past winter here, life will return in a hurry.
Look at that! Early wildflowers on the move!
All in all, a wonderful 40 minute hike to sneak in before work. I hope everyone else out there had a wonderful #wednesdaywalk too. Until next week, stay safe and kind!
