For my #sublimesunday share this week (and I know it's been a bit), as inspired by @c0ff33a, I was able to get a hike in today to get back outside. It's tough to get away from life for an hour, here and there, but today I was able to make it happen.
I took the time to experiment more with the camera on my cell phone. I was trying to get more objects up close, and let the background blur against it in the foreground. It was one of those days where I was feeling frisky with the camera, despite the number of mountain bikers flying by me.
As usual, the sandstone rock deposits in this area were the primary subjects of interest. There are always lots of colorful moss and fungi in this area to focus on. Being primarily in a deciduous forest in climate, the fungi and moss feast.
There were even a few turkeytails and dying wildflowers about to zoom in on.
All in, I managed about 1.82 miles of hiking today with a decent heart rate...I'll take it. Being 47 means I'm halfway to 94...but more importantly, 3 years away from the big 50. So I guess a good #sublimesunday, here and there, is worth it.
Thanks for checking out my share for the #sublimesunday group. I hope everyone else had a wonderful Sunday too.
