My entry for the #monomad challenge.
Imagine a large gray iron casting, fresh from a sand mold, needing to be cleaned off. One could take grinders to the casting...and slowly work off the hardened sand that is attached to the metal. Or in other cases, place the casting on a rack in an enclosed room and shoot shot gun pellets at the casting...using the force and friction of the metal rounds to bombard the sand off. Hence, the results of the photos attached!
Or, finding what I think is "art" in the most obscure places...like in a foundry.
At least I find "art" present in welded greay steel, cold light, and shadows.
Thanks for checking out my share for the #monomad challenge. Hopefully more opportune finds to photograph coming soon.
