Another week, and...more speculation on comic book investing. I went through the books I'm looking forward to reading yesterday; some might go up, most probably won't. But if that isn't your thing, there is always a chance you can make a bit of cash on some pickups today if your LCS has these items in inventory. Buy at cover price today, list it on eBay today, and make a few dollars here and there. It's what economics call "market inefficiencies"...and you can take advantage of it (I think that's what they call it, anyway.) So let's take a look at some books you can flip this week if you feel so inclined.
Aftershocks new title, We Live, features a 1:15 Nguyen ratio for issue number one. Grab this one for ratio ($15 USD) if you see it today; eBay sales are already in the $40 USD range. Lots of spec on this one right now.
Star Wars fans are definitely specing on this book today; this cover price $4 USD is getting $10-15 USD on eBay, with one listing pushing $20 USD. This one has a few things going on with it...the cover art is by In Hyuk Lee, and content features a first cameo appearance of Ochi of Bestoon, a Sith assassin. Do you smell a Disney+ theme too?
And then we get to Captain Marvel 22; I missed this one on preorder, and that isn't cool. This one features a new villain and a number of new characters. Price has been rising on this one over the past 24 hours. Cover A, above, is currently getting about $15 USD.
The C cover by Granov is getting about the same at $15 USD. This is an easy snag; I am going to venture to my shop at 11 am and try to get a copy to hold long term. My only hope is that they haven't been sold out of the back door yet...hey, I'm not judging.
Bonus release : tonight, Frankie's will be releasing another Lee ASM; I'll be grabbing a set if I can...I don't feel like you can go wrong with a Lee Spider-Gwen.
