This week has a couple of indie books I’m very much looking forward to reading. There is all the new Cates Crossover release this week that has been promoted for some time now. Lots of good stuff to read, but here are the books I’m personally looking forward to grabbing this week.
I’m still planning on devouring this whole series. I never read the book by Gaiman, but I enjoyed the first issue of this series, given my Norse ancestry.
Here is the big one…Crossover. I’ll give issue #1 a go, and see if it is worth keeping up with. I do like Cates and his work, but this one seems forced right now. I’m keeping an open mind, however.
Origins 1 is a story set in the future, wherein a human being is brought back to life after 1,000 years of extinction. I don’t know what this one is about, but I’m guessing this would be a tale of redemption for some past mistake that led to humanity’ destruction. Boom! has had some great books of late, so I’m looking forward to this one.
Dark Wing is apparently the story of a planet turned spaceship that is in search of a new solar system to call home. Sounds like a great collective unconscious origins story…maybe it permeated from the ether and into the writers of this book. I hope so!
That’s what I’m looking forward to this week. How about yourself? What are you picking up to read?
