My #wednesdaywalk share, as inspired by @tattoodjay.
This one is more of a throwback share from our recent family adventure to the Oregon coastline. We spent a day in Portland, but eventually made our way out to Cannon Beach, Oregon, to share the ocean with our daughter for the first time. On said trip, we managed a stop at Ecola Point.
What a "point"...what a spot. What I didn't realize is that this park was used in two major films of the past. First, there was a scene filmed here for Goonies...the other, *Kindergarten Cop." Who knew? Well, fortunately there was a sign to highlight the history of Hollywood in Oregon...
And no wonder...what views. There is an abandoned lighthouse beyond the waves (haunted, of course, according to Hattie).
Yet mostly it was about taking in the smells, the wind, the mist, and sights of the mighty Pacific Ocean of the Pacific Northwest. I still love my Lake Superior photos, but of course the Pacific is its own thing. Majestic and magnificent.
I even left the Crocs back in Wisconsin for this one...the Scarpas ended up working out well!
Thanks for checking out my #wednesdaywalk throwback share. I know this area has quite a bit of beauty in it (that being the Driftless Region of Wisconin, an area I've shared photos many times on Hive), but one really can't beat the fascinating beauty of the ocean. Cliffs, clouds, waves...you name it, and the ocean delivers. I hope hope everyone who read this post had a wonderful Wednesday too! Until next week!
