Here I stand at the center of infinity, where past and future meet in synchronicity.
If my life up to this point represents anything, it's my learning to stand. Not only learning to stand on my own two feet and in my own skin, but also learning where the ground is so I could stand firm. Like an immovable rock in the sea, waves of reality continuously crash against me and yet I stand resolute.
In learning to find the ground, I've learned the depth of my roots. I've learned to descend to the darkest parts of myself, all so that my branches could climb to the heavens. I've learned to root my perspectives at ground level, where they no longer sway in the direction of the slightest breeze.
And so here I stand, on the edge of the abyss, breathing into my plunge. I'm not sure if I'm feeling hesitation or excitement, but the wind whistling across my face calls to me, and the rocks beneath my feet slip out from underneath me.
When I walk, do I move across the Earth?
Or does it move beneath me?
I'll find out soon.
