HiveSuite Development Update: Re-snap Support & Post Interaction Improvements
HiveSuite
HiveReactKit — Re-snap Support
HiveDetailPost Integration
Added Re-snap support to
HiveDetailPost.Introduced dedicated
onReSnapandonReSnapCommentcallback props. These callbacks allow host applications to customize how Re-snap actions are handled for different types of Hive content.
Maintained separate callback support for:
- Top-level posts
- Individual comments
This provides better flexibility for applications integrating HiveReactKit while keeping post and comment actions clearly separated.
Comment-Level Re-snap Actions
- Propagated Re-snap actions through
InlineCommentSectiontoInlineCommentItem. - Added a dedicated Re-snap action button to every comment.
- Logged-in users can now initiate a Re-snap directly from the comment action bar.
This extends the Re-snap experience beyond the main post and allows users to interact with individual discussions and comments more naturally.

HiveSuite — Re-snap Composer Integration
Post Detail Re-snap Flow
- Implemented Re-snap composer integration from the post detail page.
- When a user chooses Re-snap, HiveSuite opens the Snap composer.
- The selected post or comment URL is automatically pre-filled in the composer.
This creates a smoother sharing workflow and reduces the need for users to manually copy and paste Hive content URLs before creating a Snap.
Context-Aware Post Actions
- Added conditional action handling based on the type of content being viewed.
The action behavior is now separated as follows:
Top-level posts: Show Re-blog only.
Comment detail pages: Show Re-snap only.
Determined the content type by resolving the parent author through the Hive API before rendering the available actions.
This ensures that users see the appropriate action for the content they are currently viewing, while avoiding unnecessary or confusing action options.
