Investors are looking for alternate ways to invest in great assets that don’t rely on the government.
Assets like fine wines, antique cars, and real estate are being used for decades, however, in today’s global market the real question is: Is art investment the next move? After the latest recession, the art market has rebounded quickly, and even faster than traditional investment. When there is rising inflation, art has performed historically well. It is typically the case when there is a uncertain-market, collectors look to purchase art with an investment view, not just to purchase beautiful objects (to store income). Did you already invest in art?
When you are visiting art galleries to try invest in the future, always be aware. My experience is that gallery owners always try to lure you in saying that buying art is an emotional decision, you need to fall for a painting. But that doesn't count for an investment. You really have to do your research about the artist, what is his or her education, their commissions their exhibits. Unknown artist with great quality can be a great investment too since you could be the one who can recognize a potential mover !
