Happy sunday my amazing Hivers
Another week has passed and it's
sunday again 馃槣
I wasn't sure what to post today,
been feeling a little off and a
little uninspired.
BUT...
Looking through my MANY
Phone pictures, I found some that
is a little different from what I
usually post about.
So for my #sublimesunday today
hosted by my Bestie
I will share my favorite shots from
small visiters in my garden 馃槈
Beautiful? ... Ugly?..
Or even scary?
I leave that up to YOU
READY?
Garden visiters
Fascinating Creatures
Owlet Moth
The Conservula anodonata is a
butterfly from the family of
Owls (Noctuidae)
Such a beauty and I had never seen
one that huge before.
The leaf it is resting on, is my crazy tall sunflower that grew this summer.
馃敻馃馃敻
Butterflies
Such beautiful Creatures
Cabbage white..
Also called cabbage butterfly, one of 2 species of butterfly with larvae that feed on cabbage and related plants.
A common view in my garden, but
always happy when I get to
capture them 馃槈
Vanessa indica
Also called the Indian red admiralor,
is a common butterfly and is a close
relative of the painted lady.
Ever since I planted Butterfly bushes
in the garden they have been a
yearly visiter.
As a kid I always thought butterflies looked creepy close up 馃槣 lol
Now I find them fascinating.
And looking back at these pictures, makes me wish for summer 馃槏
BUT... It will be here soon
Peacock butterfly
They can be easily recognized by beautiful purple eyespots
on the hind wings.
When you see it upside down, it
looks like the eyes of a owl.
They can live up to 11 month.
馃敻馃馃敻
And now back to some other cool
Creatures, less beautiful but
still worth sharing 馃槈
Musk Beetle
The Musk beetle is a long, narrow-bodied longhorn beetle that has
very long antennae.
The adults emit a musky secretion,
where it got its name.
When you Lucky to have a grandmother Who isnt afraid of HUGE bugs 馃槣 lol
But then you met another one and it chose to land on YOU 馃檲馃槵 ugh..
Brave of me right?
Welsh Longhorn beetle
Also known as long-horned or longicorns. They are a large
family of beetles.
Their antennae are often longer
than the beetles body.
And NOW...
My last share for today 馃槈
Dragonfly - Migrant Hawker
Hawkers are the largest and the
fastest flying dragonflies.
They catch their preys mid-air
and can hover or fly backwards.
When I captured this dragonfly
on the house Wall, I was amazed by
its size and it is really Beautiful.
I don't take pictures of insects like this
much, but the moments when I do
manage to caught one 馃槉
Is Priceless 馃槈
BONUS!
The cutest Bumble Bee
This was my first attempt to capture a bumble Bee up close 馃榿
I was happy with the results 馃槉
The pretty flowers sure did
its job to.
THE END!
Have a buttery buggery sunday amazing Hivers
