Residents in the round village in Jiangxi Province still maintain their traditional way of living - women cooking in a typical Chinese-style kitchen.
A traditional Chinese kitchen usually has a large stove range built with bricks and two huge iron woks, the bigger one for cooking family meals and a smaller one to produce food, mixed with leftovers from dinner table and herbs, to feed pigs. In the old days, almost every household in rural China would raise at least one pig as the source of meat supply.
