In today's blog, we are going to continue our Camotes Island Adventure. Let's go to a place where we can enjoy nature, food, and fun water activities.
Do you love nature and animals? How about activities like kayaking, zipline, and horseback riding? Then go to Lake Danao where you can enjoy them.
Lake Danao is located in the northern part of Pacijan Island San Francisco Camotes.
When I visited this place with my friends, the area was quiet since it was a weekday.
The place is good for people who love nature and food. There are some stalls and cottages around the place where you can buy and eat food.
The entrance fee is 15 pesos.
Since we were not hungry yet, we decided to go to their mini zoo.
From there, we saw a lot of animals like monkeys, crocodiles, snakes, and birds.

After several minutes of walking and taking some photographs, we went to the little seller and bought snacks. This is "salbaro", a dried and fried cassava with caramelized sugar on top of it.
Lets go and find a table.
After eating our snacks we went to the water activity area. Actually, there are so many activities that you can enjoy here
such as kayaking, boat ride, horseback riding, picnic, and more.
The place also has a swimming pool and some rooms that you can rent in case you want to stay here overnight.
At the back is the zipline area. It is approximately a 500-meter zipline experience crossing the lake. The payment is 200 pesos including the boat ride in going back.
Iwas really having a good time and definitely I would love to be here again next time.
Cebu to Danao
From Cebu City – Go to the north bus terminal and take a van/bus going to Danao Port, Danao City. The fair will range from Php70.00.
Danao to Camotes Island (Consuelo Port)
From Danao Port – Take Jomalia Shipping for Php264.00. In our case, we booked it online. The travel time from Danao to Camotes is 2 to 3 hours to get to Consuelo Port in Camotes. There is also a terminal fee of Php5.00.
Consuelo port to Tulang Daku
Once you get to the port of Consuelo, you can hire a motorcycle driver to take you to Lake Danao.
