Leaves with serrated edges and a closed flower bud were included in the pattern.
🌿 2. Stitch the Stem and Leaves
A stem stitch (or a tightly linked backstitch) was used for the main stem.
Detached straight stitches formed the small leaf veins along the stem.
For the larger leaves, a flat fishbone or satin stitch was used: stitches radiate from the central vein outward, filling the leaf evenly.
The leaf tips follow the drawn scalloped edges for a textured look.
🌸 3. Begin the Flower
The outlined flower bud was filled with deep green thread using densely packed woven stitches, creating a firm base or cap.
Next multiple strands of variegated thread (pink and white) were cut to equal length, bundled, and secured at the green base.
🌸 4. Build the Petals
These pink-white bundles are lifted and arranged upward, resembling petals.
Each petal is sewn at the base into the green cap using small anchoring stitches like forming multiple looped petals anchored together.
The loops are cut arranged and fluffed to form a rounded rose like flower.
🌸 5. Add Bud and Assembly
A smaller petal bud (pink-white) was created similarly: bundled strands, anchored at a green stitched base.
The fully made flower and bud are then positioned next to the embroidered stem and leaves, completing the floral motif.
