After that minor hiccup, the lights came back on; the music continued, and thousands of people kept their eyes on the stage, waiting to see what would happen next. Michelle noticed one of the technicians still checking the equipment and pointing at a section of the lighting rig, as if something were wrong—though nothing was being said. Nevertheless, the band put the moment behind them and moved on to the next song. It started out very calmly, with every note played perfectly; Michelle seemed composed, Tomás kept playing, and finally, Lucas’s vocals kicked in, drawing a roar of applause and cheers from the entire crowd.
Things were going smoothly; the third, fourth, and fifth songs sounded great. Lucas moved from side to side, Michelle played with tremendous energy, and Tomás kept glancing at the front rows, where some fans were still holding up signs bearing their names. Yet, backstage, the issue persisted; the system was malfunctioning, and the problem could flare up again at any moment.
Meanwhile, the band reached the most anticipated song of the night; as soon as the audience heard it, they began to sing along. The band members smiled, realizing this crowd was unlike any other—making every song feel special. At that moment, the stage lights shifted, though they were less intense this time—a glitch no one seemed to notice. Time flew by faster than anyone expected until the final song arrived—the one everyone had been waiting for. There were no fireworks, no giant screens, and no spectacular entrance for this track—just four people on stage and thousands facing them.
Lucas began to sing, Michelle joined in, and Tomás added his instrument, allowing the song to build in intensity. Just as it seemed everything would end perfectly, a stage light flickered; the technicians exchanged worried glances, realizing the lights were likely about to fail again. The band finally finished, and the four members stood motionless, moved by the emotional finale. "Thank you, Madrid," they said, as everyone raised their arms in appreciation of that magnificent moment.
The band left the stage, and backstage, Michelle exclaimed, "I can't believe all that happened." Tomás sat down and replied, "I thought we’d lose the concert after the blackout." Lucas smiled just as the producer arrived and said, "The problem resurfaced during the last song; the lights almost went out, but they held on until the end." These words startled the band, making them feel as though Madrid was putting them to the test—and that their adventure was only just beginning.
