This is a submission contest entry for ART EXPLOSION WEEK 28 : Theme MELANCHOLY by 
Melancholy means a feeling of pensive sadness, typically with no obvious cause. Ever experienced melancholy? I think most of us will just want to lie down on our bed for the whole day when we feel melancholy because we just want to be alone. We feel tired of the people as well as the world that treat us unpleasantly.
THE PROCESS
Firstly, I sketch a woman with sad posture lying down.
Next, I transfer it into photoshop and make refinement as well as colored it.
Then, I added clothes & details into it to make it less obscene.
Finally, shadows are added to the model & background.
