Like you might know, I became very lazy to write posts towards the end of last year. The post that I am writing about today already happened in the 2nd last weekend of November.
My wife's family decided to have a family breakaway for the weekend, to Hartebeespoort dam, which is about 50km away from where I stay.
The place where we stayed was not right next to the dam, it was a bit further away and elevated, thus giving a good view of the dam.
They also had a nice lapa for our use, with some fridges, to keep our drinks cold as well a a nice braai area, where we made a nice fire, where we barbequed our meat later in the evening.
Right next to the lapa they also had a nice swimming pool for us to enjoy.
They had various types of accommodation on the premises, but I liked the house below. It is an open plan with a large stoep in front. There are stack sliding doors, that almost opens the entire front part of the house.
As I mentioned, it has an open plan design, with the living room to the left and the kitchen area to the right. The two doors in the centre leads to the two bedrooms, which both has an on suite bathroom.
The stoep also has a nice braai area.
This is what the house looks like from the front, it is very simplistic, basically just a large rectangle.
We had a great time as a family, to just relax and socialize with each other, for an entire weekend. This was a great weekend, enjoyed by all.
I hope you enjoyed the post and that you have a wonderful day.
